An inbox default left over from an earlier design
The store inserted new inbox rows as Queued while core and every test fake created inbound rows as Offered — a default left over from an earlier design.
Built, and nothing used it
Shipped, typechecked, dependency-injected, unreachable. Nothing ever called it.
ferry_store::inbox::insert defaulted new rows to Queued. But core's own create_inbound, and every fake implementing that port, creates inbound rows as Offered — an inbound item's first observed moment is always "an Offer arrived." There's no local pre-offer queued state on the receive side the way there is on the send side.
Harmless in isolation, and exactly the kind of drift that appears when a storage layer is written before the domain logic that gives its defaults meaning. The store's own test had been asserting the wrong thing confidently.
